100 Words

I was asked to write 100 words for the Taylor, Callahan and Coleman Counties Post Adjudication Facility Newsletter for the quarter. The Post unit is a residential placement for children who have been found to have engaged in delinquent conduct, usually several times. It's one step short of commitment to the Texas Youth Commission which is the state institution for juvenile rehabilitation. I was rather pleased with the product and thought I'd share it with you.
She was about 14 years old, pregnant, an embarrassment to the man she was marrying, who was not the father.

Two thousand years later we remember Mary’s faith and goodness but seldom think of how scared she must have been. Who would buy that wild tale of an angel talking to her about God’s child?

It’s not what you’ve been but what you’re becoming that matters. Christmas is a time of being thankful for the smallest gifts. New Year is a time of starting fresh, erasing last year’s mistakes. Miracles happen. Work on making them happen in your life.
