April 1

Besides being All Fools' Day, April 1 is the birth date of one out of every 365.25 people on earth. They suffer through it. My principal in junior high, Charles Welch, was my high school Sunday School teacher and when I taught 7th and 8th grade Spanish and English, he was my principal again. His birthday was April 1, and he allowed the kids at both schools to make a big deal of it. We and they thoroughly enjoyed it.

Another April Fools' child was Terrie Murray, who would have been 48 today. She's with God, and she's wishing comfort on all of us who are missing her here.

Besides my 17th anniversary of starting work, it's the 17th anniversary of Sheila Rollins Warren's employment at Hendrick Medical Center. Though she sometimes might seem to take second place in my affection for Rachel Rollins Warren, that's not true. I really appreciate her and Mike's providing such an adorable object of my affection!
