What a Day!

We got to the Poliforum Leon by 8:30 to lines of people prequalified and waiting for their wheelchairs. My job was to take pictures of each of them in their chair, but I did it with cameras provided for the project and took only a few with mine. The other reason for that is that in Mexico, like in Scotland, simply plugging in an electrical object doesn't recharge it unless you turn the wall plug on. I didn't and only had about an hour of use for my camera, but it was plenty.

Governor Juan Manuel Rios Rivera of Guantajunto State came by and spoke, helping to present a couple of the wheelchairs. He seemed an effective speaker and a nice man. He's new to the job of governor, but the Rotarians I was with seem to think he'll do a good job.

The rest of the day was spent with the Rotarians eating, shopping (or at least wandering a mall, didn't buy anything but the socks I need to wear home tomorrow)
and going to the horse show with a delightful family. I've got some more pictures, and I've got my camera down here in the lobby with me, but I don't have the cord to get them to the camera so I can upload them. They are of the girls riding ponies and of us with a couple of huge Brahman bulls. It was a neat day, but the day will be over in 15 minutes and I'm about to turn into a pumpkin, so I'll just turn in instead. Good night.
